Elderly Care Services for Grandma Chan

By Sally Lin | Project Coordinator

Grandma Chan, who lives in the mountains, suffered from multiple strokes and lost the ability to take care of herself. She can only use a wheelchair to move slowly. Grandpa is the breadwinner of the family, with poor health, and has to farm the land daily in the mountains to make ends meet. Grandpa and Grandma Chan feel troubled because Grandpa was unable to drive to accompany Grandma Chan to the hospital for rehabilitation, causing a great delay in her recovery. After the care specialist and case manager went to Grandma Chan 's home to understand their needs, and then matched long-term care services to provide home care and transportation to meet the living and rehabilitation needs of the two elderly, Grandma Chan has progressed enough to walk slowly with a cane. She is very grateful for the service provided by Eden, especially the kind greetings from the driver every time on the commute, which makes them feel deeply heart-warming.

Eden has committed to providing professional, localized services for many years. We hope that our seniors can receive the most comprehensive services in the nearest place to their homes, such as eight-hour daycare, individual in-home supportive services, meal delivery, and transportation for senior care, in order to accompany the seniors while relieving the burden of the caregivers. We sincerely invite you to join us in the "Elderly Care Services in Remote Areas Project" to care for the health and life of the elderly and to be a partner with them.
