Each month food packages are delivered to the homes of elderly widows.
Thanks to YOUR generous support, no longer are these women begging for food in the villages or depending on neighbors to give them something to eat.
Their self-esteem is restored and their hunger satisfied.
In addition to the 34 widows receiving monthly food packages, there are also a number of one-time packages given to other widows who find themselves in tough circumstances and just need a little help.
Many of the widows are barely able to care for themselves due to their age or ill health, and when they become the person responsible for orphaned grandchildren, life becomes so much more difficult.
Widows like Elizabeth, who is approaching 90 years old, is representative of many of the families helped thanks to your donations.
She suffers from arthritis and can’t get around much. She is raising three children of her deceased daughter. Often there just isn’t enough food to feed them all and she worries about their wellbeing.
Magret is alone. When her husband passed away, his family made her leave their home. She was able to find another place to live but just didn’t have the funds to cover the cost of food. Your support helped her not to be without.
Your are a great blessing to these widows. You are helping to sustain their lives and the children they are raising.
Thank you. You have given them not only food to carry them through, but a renewed hope of a hunger-free life.
