Introduction
This project intends to change the prevalent practise of elephants being forced to work in cities to earn a living by developing a new approach to promoting moral and responsible travel in Asia. In order to combat the illegal use of elephant labour in the tourism industry, we are collaborating with a handful of carefully chosen local communities. We are also trying to safeguard the remaining wild elephant populations by monitoring and funding protected areas.
Report
Our mission actively rescues elephants around Asia and helps them recover in a protected forest while providing protection and oversight to ensure their safety. To ensure the sustainability of our work as the larger community becomes involved and becomes knowledgeable about the issue, we are conducting research on alternative conservation measures for elephants in collaboration with conservationists and local community members.
