Hola friends,
During our time in El Salvador earlier this summer, we visited the Los Decidios Cooperative to conduct aftercare workshops and document previously planted trees in the community. As we were leaving, we were asked to wait for a surprise...
We were presented with these beautiful "flores de mango" (mango flowers) made by cooperative member Sylvia from fruit grown on trees donated by FTPF. Many of the cooperative members sell "flores de mango" as well as whole mangos along the highways leading in and out of the capital city of San Salvador to earn extra income for their families. These were some of the most delicious mangos we've ever tasted, made extra special knowing they are products of FTPF's work and progress in El Salvador over the years!
Thanks to each and every one of you for your continued support of our mission to plant 100,000 fruit trees in El Salvador in order to support hard-working Salvadorans like Sylvia!
Muchisimas gracias,
The FTPF Team
