Dear friends,
The Fruit Tree Planting Foundation has had another very successful summer of tree planting in El Salvador! This was our ninth year in a row working with families and farmer cooperatives to plant thousands of fruit trees throughout some of the poorest regions of the country.
Fruit trees offer so much to small-holder farmers, including profitable harvests, improved soils, less runoff, cooler environments and opportunities for coproduction and agroforestry. We are amazed every year by the growing interest in participating in this program, and the hundreds of families that join us in our workshops and planting events.
This is why we need your help--we want every family and farmer who is interested in growing sustainable orchards to be able to participate in our program. Please consider donating today or sharing this project with your friends and family so that we can raise the funds necessary to provide as many fruit trees as possible to those who need them.
Muchismas gracias,
The FTPF Team
