Dear Friend,

Thank you for your support of the Fruit Tree Planting Foundation's 100,000 Fruit Trees for El Salvador program!
Last year we traveled down to this warm and welcoming country, bringing orchards to schools, women's clinics, farmer's cooperatives, community plots, and family homes.  During our visit, we revisited some previous reciepients of our trees and even encountered some fruiting mango trees (and their happy caretakers!)  We also visited our partner nursery and saw thriving saplings of cacao, tamarind, avocado, and the native ojushte, as well as many others.
After such a great response, combined with an excellent survival rate of last year's trees, FTPF is returning to El Salvador next year to implement the fourth installment of this program.  Our team is currently hard at work with project planning, and are thrilled to continue to receive additional support from the Global Giving Community in order to reach our goals and begin implementation. We are equally excited to work with amazing non-profits like our partners on the ground in El Salvador, SHARE El Salvador and CONFRAS, without whom we would not be able to return next year with thousands more trees.
100,000 Trees for El Salvador will create outdoor, edible classrooms for schools, provide a source of improved nutrition and environmental education, and bring added income to families in need all while cleaning the air, water, and soil. We look forward to bringing you future updates and additional details once we reach our goals. And again, our thanks to YOU and the entire GlobalGiving community for your generous support!

Gratefully,

The entire FTPF team
