A year ago, the DANA storm on October 29, 2024, left a trail of destruction across the Valencian Community. Homes were destroyed, families displaced, and childhoods shaken by loss and uncertainty.
At SOS Children’s Villages Spain, we launched the SOS DANA Valencia Project – Phase 2, the recovery phase. The longest and quietest phase, where families need the most support.
Thanks to the commitment of our corporate partners and many generous individuals, in recent months we have been able to:
Provide psychological and emotional support to more than 150 families.
Distribute financial, material, and educational aid to 400 children.
Facilitate access to services and documentation for those who lost everything.
Establish a permanent support center in La Torre (Valencia) and a mobile unit bringing assistance to other municipalities.
Today, one year later, we continue working to ensure that no child grows up alone, even when the emergency is no longer in the headlines.
Your company can continue to be part of this story of recovery and hope.
Partner with us to keep providing protection, support, and opportunities to the children and families who need it most. Write to us at alianzascorporativas@aldeasinfantiles.es
