I Would Like to Live Like a Child

By Ms. Lee | Project Leader

What kind of life would the children in the fifth grade of primary school have?

Hannah's parents divorced when she was young. Since then, Hannah and her dad returned to grandma’s house and lived together with grandma. Unfortunately, dad was killed in a car accident on the way home from work. Hannah lost her loving father, and depended totally on grandma.

Seeing her grandma's elderly figure, Hannah pushed herself to grow up earlier to get rid of the carefreeness and innocence that a fifth grade child would have. She took over family responsibilities ahead of her age, and studied hard at school to achieve good results, and picked up the pot, and did shoveling and cooking once returned home from school.

Knowing the needs of Hannah, the Mustard Seed Mission (MSM) helped her family with emergency relif subsidy, which eased the economic pressure upon the family, letting the family feel the warmth of the society.

Hopefully, Hannah can continue to maintain the innocence and kindness of the child. With the care and watch of kind-hearted people, she may no longer feel lonely and grow up peacefully and joyfully.

Thank you for being a timely assistance to this family and more families; with your support, vulnerable children can have a happier childhood.
