As Uganda faces another Ebola outbreak, protecting healthcare workers and vulnerable communities remains a top priority. The Girl Child Foundation Uganda has continued implementing emergency response activities aimed at reducing infections and strengthening community resilience.
The shortage of PPE remains a critical challenge for frontline healthcare providers. Many workers continue serving communities despite limited resources and heightened exposure risks. Through this project, awareness efforts have highlighted the importance of protecting those who provide essential health services.
Community sensitization campaigns have reached households with life-saving information about Ebola symptoms, prevention measures, and reporting procedures. By combating misinformation, we are helping communities make informed decisions and reduce risky behaviors.
Our outreach teams have collaborated with local stakeholders to promote hand hygiene, encourage early treatment seeking, and support community surveillance efforts. Increased awareness is helping families recognize warning signs and respond more quickly.
The support received through this project continues to strengthen local preparedness efforts and improve public understanding of Ebola prevention. We sincerely thank our donors for standing with vulnerable communities during this challenging period. Your support is helping save lives and strengthen Uganda’s capacity to respond effectively to public health emergencies.
