Early detection remains one of the most important strategies for controlling Ebola outbreaks. Thanks to your support, our community surveillance efforts continue to strengthen local capacity to identify and report suspected cases quickly.
Community volunteers have received training on recognizing Ebola symptoms, conducting safe reporting procedures, and connecting households with healthcare services. These volunteers serve as an essential link between communities and public health authorities.
During the reporting period, surveillance teams conducted regular community visits and awareness activities. Residents were encouraged to report illnesses promptly and seek medical attention when symptoms appear. The improved reporting systems have increased community participation and strengthened trust in health interventions.
Early detection helps health officials respond more rapidly, reducing the risk of further transmission and improving patient outcomes. By empowering local volunteers, we are building a grassroots response network capable of supporting ongoing disease monitoring efforts.
The dedication of community volunteers has been remarkable. Despite challenging conditions, they continue working tirelessly to safeguard their neighbors and promote public health awareness.
Your support is helping create stronger, more responsive communities prepared to identify health threats before they become larger emergencies. Thank you for investing in community-led solutions that protect lives and strengthen Uganda’s public health preparedness.
