Building local capacity remains one of the most sustainable ways to improve public health preparedness. Thanks to your generous support, we continue investing in community-based systems that strengthen emergency response capabilities and promote resilience.
During this reporting period, community leaders, volunteers, and health advocates participated in capacity-building activities designed to enhance their ability to respond effectively to public health emergencies. Participants received practical training on surveillance, risk communication, and outbreak prevention strategies.
These efforts are creating a network of knowledgeable individuals who can support response activities within their own communities. Local ownership of preparedness initiatives ensures that prevention efforts remain active and effective even in challenging circumstances.
Participants have already begun applying their skills through awareness campaigns, community engagement activities, and support for local health initiatives. Their contributions are helping strengthen preparedness at the grassroots level.
The development of local leadership and response capacity represents a valuable investment in long-term community resilience. Strong local systems can significantly improve outcomes during future emergencies.
Thank you for helping build stronger communities capable of responding to health challenges. Your support is creating sustainable change and empowering local leaders to play an active role in protecting public health across Uganda.
