Hunger can make the future feel impossible. When families are focused on finding their next meal, it becomes difficult to think about education, livelihoods, farming or long-term development.
Karamoja is facing a major food-security challenge. The latest 2026 IPC assessment reports that approximately 473,000 people are experiencing Crisis or Emergency levels of acute food insecurity, or about 32% of the analysed population.
The crisis is especially concerning for children. Approximately 122,100 children aged 6–59 months are projected to experience acute malnutrition, including around 30,600 children with severe acute malnutrition.
Good Cause Foundation Uganda believes that families need both immediate assistance and a pathway toward recovery.
Through donor support, we want to help provide emergency food packages while also supporting agricultural opportunities that can strengthen household food production.
Seeds, farming skills, agricultural knowledge and appropriate resources can help families build resilience and reduce their vulnerability to future food shortages.
Objectives:
Help us build hope beyond the hunger crisis.
Your donation can help a family survive today while contributing to a future where that family has greater capacity to provide food for itself.
Donate through GlobalGiving. Share the campaign. Partner with us. Together, we can turn hunger into hope.
