Programme Summary
As part of the programme, PUNKT POD PARASOLEM (THE POINT UNDER THE UMBRELLA which is a part of The SOS Food Bank in Warsaw) provided food assistance to 20 families (32 individuals) each week. The programme was implemented over a period of 38 weeks.
The food parcels consisted primarily of essential, non-perishable products with a long shelf life. Towards the end of the programme, we also began including fresh produce from supermarkets, particularly fruits and vegetables, to further diversify the contents of the parcels.
On average, approximately 140 kg of food products were distributed each week. Over the 38-week period, this amounted to a total of approximately 5.3 tonnes of food provided to people in need.
