Maternal health complications are a leading cause of death among women in Ghana. Many women, especially in low-income or rural communities, cannot afford urgent medical care during pregnancy or childbirth. This project provides emergency support-including medical care, transport, and essential supplies-to help women survive pregnancy and childbirth safely.
Complications during pregnancy and childbirth, such as hemorrhage, infection, or pre-eclampsia, can become life-threatening if not treated immediately. Many women in Ghana delay care due to financial barriers, lack of transport, or insufficient medical resources, leading to preventable deaths and long-term health issues.
This project provides immediate financial, medical, and transportation support to women experiencing maternal health emergencies. By covering hospital fees, medications, transport, and essential supplies, it ensures women can access timely care during pregnancy and childbirth. This reduces complications, prevents maternal deaths, and improves both mother and newborn health outcomes.
This project will reduce maternal mortality and complications by ensuring women receive timely, life-saving care. Over time, it will improve the health and survival of mothers and newborns, strengthen trust in healthcare services, and create healthier, safer communities for families across Ghana.
