Post Pandemic healing through Telecounselling

With fluctuation in COVID case, telecounselling is receving calls from people from urabn to remote areas of Nepal. This service has build truct among community maintaining dignity and confidentiality. Tele counselling has became as easiest and fastes way to reach help for people with pani attacks, fear, suicidal ideation. Telecounselling has saved many lives encouraging them with positive aspects of life. People are receiving support 24/7. and community is appreciating this effort and request to extend its outreach.
KOSHISH has been sproviding telecounselling service through tol free and social media. till now, 82 people have been benefitted through this. some were also identified with severe mental health condition who were provided with additional support. This mechanis has helped people from distant place to receive counselling service as per need and flexibility.

Healing through Tele-counseling

KOSHISH has been providing tele-counseling in all Provinces of Nepal. In this period, KOSHISH provided tele-counseling services to 43 persons. Among them, counseling sessions with 36 beneficiaries have been terminated while 7 beneficiaries are still receiving sessions. The mental health conditions of beneficiaries receiving counseling services are improving. The counseling services are free of cost for the beneficiaries. Thus, those with poor economic conditions greatly benefit from tele-counseling services. One of the beneficiaries shared, "The tele-counseling service has helped me deal with my issues and overcome them."
Through the support from different donors at the GlobalGiving platform, we have been able to provide the service. We are very thankful for the support and further support required for working on general people's mental and psychosocial well-being.

Tele-counseling services on demand

The tele-counseling services were established as a feasible alternative to in-person counseling services during the COVID-19 pandemic. The risk of the COVID-19 pandemic has decreased, but the uncertainty is still there. Thus, people still seek counseling services and psychosocial support via telephone.
With the increasing need and demand, KOSHISH has been continuously providing psychosocial support through Tele-Counseling services. In this period, KOSHISH provided tele-counseling services to 52 persons. Among them, counseling sessions with 39 beneficiaries have been terminated while 13 beneficiaries are still receiving sessions. All the beneficiaries’ mental health condition is improving. They are adopting measures to overcome their condition. They are in regular follow-up by psychologists.
Through the support from different donors at the GlobalGiving platform, we have been able to provide the service. We are very thankful for the support and further support required for working on the mental and psychosocial well-being of general people.
