Dear Donors,
Thank you for remembering families affected by the devastating floods in Nepal.
On August 26, flash floods struck communities in Rasuwa, Nuwakot and downstream areas, leaving homes damaged and destroying roads, bridges and other infrastructure.
For families who lived through the floods, the disaster did not end when the water went down.
They still have to find somewhere safe to sleep.
They still need clean drinking water and food.
They still need medical care.
And many are trying to understand how they will rebuild after losing so much.
Reports indicate that around 10,000 households need immediate relief. Among those affected are children, women, older people and people living with disabilities who may face greater difficulty finding shelter, food and medical care.
We are seeking support to help 1,500 flood survivors receive emergency food, temporary shelter and healthcare.
We are also working with local organisations familiar with the affected communities so that assistance can reach families who need it.
A family that has lost its home should not have to face hunger too.
Your support can help bring food to a displaced family, provide a safer place to sleep and help someone receive medical care after the disaster.
Thank you for standing with families in Nepal during this difficult time.
Please share this project with others who may be able to help.
With gratitude,
Adaego Imoh
