Dear Donors,
Thank you for standing with flood survivors in Nepal.
Imagine waking up after a disaster and discovering that the place you called home is no longer safe.
Your belongings may be gone.
The road to your community may be damaged.
The bridge you depended on may have been destroyed.
And the shelter that once protected your family from rain and cold may no longer be there.
This is what many families affected by the August 26 floods are now facing.
The floods struck Rasuwa, Nuwakot and downstream communities, damaging homes and vital infrastructure. Thousands of households need immediate assistance.
For displaced families, temporary shelter is not a luxury.
It is a place where children can sleep safely.
It is protection from rain and cold.
It gives a family somewhere to gather while they begin to recover.
Food and healthcare are just as important.
A family that has lost its home should not also have to worry about where its next meal will come from or how to care for a sick child.
Clarion Times Foundation plans to support 1,500 flood survivors with food, temporary shelter and healthcare.
We are seeking support from donors around the world and working with local organisations familiar with the affected communities.
Thank you for helping us remember families who are trying to rebuild after the floods.
Please share this project with your friends, family and community.
With gratitude,
Adaego Imoh
