Dear Donors,
Thank you for caring about flood survivors in Nepal.
A family can spend years building a home and gathering the things they need for daily life.
Then a disaster can take much of it away in a matter of hours.
The August 26 floods affected communities in Rasuwa, Nuwakot and downstream areas, damaging homes and important infrastructure and forcing families to seek safer places.
For children, the experience can be frightening.
For parents, there is the painful task of finding food and shelter while trying to protect their families.
For older people and people with disabilities, displacement can make access to basic services even harder.
Families now need practical help: food to eat, safe water to drink, somewhere to sleep and healthcare when they are sick or injured.
This project will support 1,500 flood survivors with emergency food, temporary shelter and healthcare. Local organisations familiar with the affected communities will help us reach families who need assistance.
A family may have lost its home, but it should not have to face the days ahead alone.
Thank you for standing with the people of Nepal.
If you cannot give, please share this project with someone who may be able to help.
With gratitude,
Adaego Imoh
