When a crisis like the coronavirus hits, it's the poorest who suffer the most

With the funds received, it has been possible to help 70 people, belonging to 10 families in the town of Santo Tomas, Concepcion department. Food kits including flour, oil, sugar, herb and rice have been delivered.

With these basic elements, families will be able to supplement their diet for 1 month. This aid is essential given that these families only have subsistence crops and are not being able to generate income to sustain themselves.

The families had difficulty during past years providing enough food for all family members because of a lack of resources.
