About 2023!
Ukraine, Zakarpattia Oblast (internal refugees and host communities)
(1) Life support (Apr 2022~)
In addition to regularly providing food and daily necessities, we distributed 40 tons of firewood and briquettes to 200 families during the winter. Simultaneously, we offer 200 free meals twice a week in 5 villages. Despite facing expenditure challenges due to inflation, two locations are preparing for expanded meal-serving support. Moreover, we provide a monthly pension of €50 to impoverished seniors, disbursed twice a year, to assist them during challenging times amid the war. As needed, we also supply medical supplies and cover medical bills.
2CSCs (Cash for Social Contributions) career (Apr 2022~)
With our project, we are aiming for the empowerment of the people we support, encouraging self-reliance rather than dependence on our assistance. We offer various opportunities for work, including cooking and transporting free meals, firewood production, sorting relief supplies, warehouse management, elderly care, and cleaning. We highly value the independence of the people we support, providing them with opportunities for meaningful social contributions. Through this program, individuals receive support for their lives through payments, while goods and services are provided and valuable social connections are established.
3Establishment of the comprehensive welfare center (Apr 2023~)
Amidst the challenges of war, the conscription or migration of many men has exacerbated the welfare environment for unemployed women and single seniors. With the generous support of the Japanese government, we have taken a bold step by initiating the construction of a comprehensive welfare center. This center will encompass nursing homes, nurseries, kitchens, multipurpose rooms, and more. Leveraging an abandoned clinic, we have refurbished the facility for this purpose. All necessary preparations have been completed, and we are gearing up to commence construction in the autumn.
nHungary, Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg (refugees)
1Máriapocs village (Mar 2022~)
We supply food, daily necessities, and clothing to refugee camps, in addition to offering financial assistance for children's recreation and medical bills. We are actively adapting to the dynamic and frequently changing number of refugees to ensure our support remains responsive.
2 Záhony city (Nov 2022~)
Záhony station serves as a crucial transit point for refugees moving westward. Each day, a significant number of refugees pass through Záhony station. To facilitate their journey, we have established containers and temporary housings near the station, where we provide drinks, food, and essential daily necessities such as towels, blankets, and sanitary goods. Our aim is to support and enhance the travel experience for these individuals.
