Our intervention in this emergency consists of:
The attention these teams currently provide are not comparable to the services of a primary care center and are limited to those that can be offered by the staff with the scarce resources available, in an environment of overcrowding, lack of privacy, insecurity and without a functional referral system in the north, and only partially in the south. Lack of drugs and medical devices is one of the biggest obstacles facing health providers at the moment, especially in the north.
As conditions permit, services will be extended to general medical consultations and examinations, including early detection and case management of communicable and non communicable diseases, basic curative care, monitoring and follow-up of healthy children, care of sick children, prenatal and postnatal care, including preventive care and early detection of complications such as hypertension and diabetes during pregnancy, follow up of chronic diseases in the elderly, provision of medicines, follow-up and referral of complicated cases to specialized health centers as necessary and possible.
