2nd Report on the daily recovery support in Morocco

By Juhee Lee | Coordinator

  • Bringing warmth to the little life

The earthquake has been the cause of the destruction of many things and the extinction of many lights of life. The story is not just about people. Animals, who used to survive and maybe even be a family, need to be supported.

We worked with Morocco's Animal Aid(MAA), an animal welfare organization in Morocco. A lot of people had lost their homes since the earthquake and were living in shelters. They could not take the animals with them because the situation in the shelter itself was bad. As a result, many animals are still abandoned in an environment where they do not even have food. MAA walked throughout the village to feed and treat injured animals.

We have looked for animals in need of protection in the village. And we have found them. We will continue to go out every fortnight and continue to help them. Some of the animals that MAA is working to protect include horses and donkeys, which require large shelters. This is because each of these animals is used to living in a different environment. There was a need for additional measures when we started the protection of animals that lost their owners after the earthquake, including those that we had been protecting prior to the earthquake. Therefore, in order to improve the environment of the shelters, we are also planning additional conservation activities.

We will continue to provide support to all of them so that no one will be left out in the future. It will be a long journey, but we will work tirelessly to bring peace back to Morocco.

Thank you for your warm heart for the Morocco.
