Day 3 of Türkiye & Syria Emergency Response

It is said that the survival rate of those impacted by disasters drops dramatically after the first 72 hours, so search-and-rescue crews continued to work hard yesterday to save those trapped beneath the rubble. Members of Peace Winds' airborne search-and-rescue team, ARROWS, are working with local partners to locate survivors and provide medical assistance where ambulances cannot reach.
The death toll continues to climb, currently having surpassed 20,000. Those who survived are waiting for assistance amid the harsh winter weather. According to WHO, 300,000 of the survivors are now homeless, and 23 million are in need of assistance.
Peace Winds staff continue to work tirelessly to save lives in Türkiye, and we will bring updates as we are able. Thank you for your continued support.
