Program Progress Report: Blanket Distribution Support for Children with Disabilities
During the quarter on the dated 21st January 2026 , our organization successfully implemented a Blanket Distribution Program for Children with Disabilities with generous support from the Government of Bangladesh. The objective of the activity was to protect children with disabilities from cold-related health risks during the winter season and to provide relief to vulnerable families. A respected government representative was present at the program, which added transparency, credibility, and encouragement for the beneficiary families.
The program was organized in a participatory manner, ensuring dignified and inclusive support. Blankets were distributed directly to children with disabilities in the presence of their parents and local stakeholders. During the event, several parents shared their expressions and experiences. One mother said, “My child often falls sick in winter. This blanket will help keep my child warm and healthy.” Another parent expressed gratitude, stating, “As a low-income family, it is difficult for us to afford warm clothing. This support has reduced our hardship.”
A father of a child with disability mentioned, “The presence of the government officer makes us feel that our children are valued and supported by the state.” Parents also appreciated the respectful behavior of the organizers and the timely distribution.
Overall, the activity contributed to improving the well-being of children with disabilities, strengthened trust between the community and government institutions, and demonstrated effective collaboration between civil society and the Government of Bangladesh.
