A cancer diagnosis can quickly become a financial emergency for women in Ghana. Many are forced to delay or abandon treatment due to the high cost of care. This project provides urgent financial, medical, and emotional support to women with cancer, helping them access timely treatment and survive.
Women diagnosed with cancer in Ghana often face overwhelming costs for diagnostics, chemotherapy, surgery, medications, and transportation. With little or no health insurance coverage, many families exhaust their savings within weeks. As a result, treatment is delayed, interrupted, or stopped entirely-turning treatable cancers into fatal ones.
This project provides immediate financial and logistical support to women diagnosed with cancer, covering urgent treatment, medication, and transportation costs. By removing these barriers early, it enables women to start and continue treatment without delay, improving survival and preventing avoidable deaths.
Over time, this project will reduce cancer-related deaths among women by ensuring timely access to care. It will lessen the economic burden on families, improve treatment outcomes, and strengthen community trust in cancer care-creating healthier women and stronger families in Ghana.
