Hello, my name is Peanut. I am a 9-year-old Shih tzu living with in a truck with my dad. We are currently experiencing homelessness. My Dad is a disabled Veteran; I am his service animal and best friend. When he drives, I ride on his shoulders to alert him for seizures.
My dad was worried I had an eye infection, so he took me to the vet. The doctor said my eye needed to be surgically removed. My dad was very concerned; he did not have money for surgery. That’s when the Vet said to call Feeding Pets of the Homeless.
We were quickly assigned a case manager and after an over the phone interview, I was approved for surgery. My dad was so happy he cried!
Thank you to Feeding Pets of the homeless for their prompt assistance. Our gratitude is infinite.
