You care about pets and that is why I am asking for your help again.
Imagine yourself losing your job and house, facing homelessness with no one to turn to except your dog or cat. That loving companion that has been with you throughout all of your pain and stress. Then imagine being on the streets or living in your car and your companion becomes ill or injured.
That was the case with Samantha. Pets of the Homeless received a call from a homeless man who lives in a tent with his American Mutt, in Sacramento, CA. Samantha had been attacked by another dog, 3 or 4 days had passed and the owner thought a bone was sticking out of her leg. We approved an examination. The veterinarian recommended an x-ray, bloodwork, pain and antibiotic injections and medications. The bite was badly infected. Pets of the Homeless paid the hospital over $400 so Samantha could be with her owner without pain.
With the funds we raise during our spring campaign, the goal is to help an additional 300 pets like Smoke that are suffering.
Please take a moment of your time to visit our website and read our 2016 Annual Report.
A donation of $117 will pay for half of the average cost of a typical emergency case.
