Dear Supporters,
Since October, Thriving Youth Farmers Uganda (TYoFU) has made exciting progress in expanding our initiatives, empowering youth, and strengthening sustainable farming practices.
Thanks to your generosity, we have been able to grow our impact in meaningful ways.
Empowering Youth Through Engagement
We successfully hosted Discover TYoFU sessions, bringing together students, supporters, and partners to learn about our mission. These events allowed us to connect with new volunteers and expand our network, including welcoming William and Allie, who have joined our team to support grant-writing and fundraising.
Expanding the Fish Pond for Sustainable Livelihoods
One of our major achievements has been the expansion of our fish pond to a depth of 3.5 feet. This will help us increase food security, income opportunities for youth, and sustainable aquaculture practices.
Next steps include leveling the soil, designing the top structure, and adding fencing to protect the fish from predators. This project is a key step toward economic empowerment for young farmers in our community.
Strengthening Our Donor Base & Volunteer Network
We are excited to share that we are once again collaborating with the Georgetown Global Consultants (GGC) team to improve our donor base and strengthen volunteer recruitment efforts, especially in fundraising. Their expertise will help us develop long-term strategies for financial sustainability and expanding our impact.
Skills Development & Community Growth
Our team has been actively working on equipping youth with practical skills, including climate-smart farming, financial literacy, and agribusiness training. These efforts ensure that young people can build self-sufficient futures and contribute to a more resilient agricultural sector in Uganda.
Looking Ahead
With your continued support, we aim to:
We are incredibly grateful for your belief in TYoFU’s mission. Your support directly fuels opportunities for youth, fosters sustainable agriculture, and strengthens food security.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us!
With gratitude,
Martin & the TYoFU Team
