Transform Lives, One Story at a Time!

Grateful is how we at REACH are feeling to reconnect with you after a brief pause following GlobalGiving’s review of projects in Vietnam!

Thanks to your amazing support, REACH is back in action on GlobalGiving - stronger, more energized, and more committed than ever to uplifting disadvantaged lives in Vietnam with decent employment opportunities. You’re a big part of the magic we’re creating together!

This is the story of Oanh, a young woman whose silence has never meant surrender.

Through our newly introduced ceramics class, she discovered not only a new skill but also a renewed sense of self.

This is a powerful reminder of how we’re constantly innovating to support and uplift our youth.

Oanh’s world has always been quiet, but it has never been still. Born deaf and mute, she faced many challenges, especially after losing her father at the age of 8. Despite these struggles, Oanh remained determined, nurturing a dream to one day create something meaningful with her hands.

Her journey led her to the Khoái Châu Rehabilitation and Vocational Training School in Hung Yên, where she learned basic writing. However, communication remained difficult, and her future felt uncertain. In October 2024, a classmate introduced her to REACH’s ceramics art class, opening a new door for her.

At REACH, Oanh was welcomed by teachers who communicated through visuals and gestures, helping her feel included and understood. Her classmates also supported her, making the learning environment encouraging and warm. The ceramics class became her sanctuary, where she could express herself through art in ways words couldn’t capture. With each new lesson, she gained confidence, finding that her hands could tell stories her voice could not. The act of shaping clay became a form of self-expression, allowing her to create beauty from silence.

As she honed her craft, Oanh's confidence grew. Her passion for ceramics flourished, and the intricate designs she created reflected her resilience and creativity. With each lesson, she felt herself evolving, not only as an artist but as a person.

Today, Oanh dreams of turning her ceramics passion into a career. She hopes to support her family and show others that, with determination and the right guidance, anything is possible. Through her art, Oanh has found her voice, and with REACH’s support, she is shaping a brighter future.

The Changing Philanthropic Landscape and the Power of Your Support

In today’s evolving philanthropic landscape, your generous funding plays an even more crucial role in sustaining initiatives like Oanh’s. It is donors like you who allow us to continue providing the training, resources, and support that young people need to break through barriers and create meaningful lives for themselves.

We remain deeply committed to our mission of empowering marginalized youth and helping them find their voice and potential. Your continued support ensures that we can keep making this transformation possible - one student, one story at a time.

Join us in shaping brighter futures today. Your support is more important than ever.
