The Safal MRM Foundation is delighted to share the achievements of 2023, celebrating the great milestones achieved thanks to the dedication and support of our donors and team members.

We achieved an impressive 80% graduate placement rate, underscoring our commitment to bridging the gap between training and employment.

We introduced innovative courses like the Healthcare Assistant Course and Permaculture, diversifying our educational offerings. Moreover, we pioneered the upgrading of ongoing courses in ICT, Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, Building and Construction, ensuring relevance in a rapidly evolving technical landscape.

We celebrated ongoing success with the Mastercard Foundation project, impacting 463 boda-boda youth in Kilifi County. Additionally, we accomplished sponsoring 100 beneficiaries for riding classes through the project across five conducted trainings.

In collaboration with Global Opportunity Youth Network, we established the Career Guidance and Counselling (CGC) office in January 2023. The office has played a pivotal role in providing career services, graduate tracking, and fostering industry linkages. Through one-on-one and group sessions with the trainees, the Career Guidance and Counselling department is able to interact with the youth and offer solutions and direction to students on a case to case basis. This program has fostered an open space for trainees to seek advice on career decisions as well as social issues they face as they navigate through the society as adults.

Through the Career Guidance and Counselling program, workshops on resume writing, employer recruiting techniques, interview skills, and entrepreneurship have contributed to our trainees' readiness for the workforce. Furthermore, we maintained detailed records on students' status after training, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of our impact.

Our effort and work over the past year reflect our commitment to empowering the youth in our communities by providing quality technical education and enabling them to access decent employment opportunities. These opportunities have been made accessible and possible thanks to GlobalGiving donors like you. We thank you for your commitment towards empowering the youth in our communities and giving them a hope for a better tomorrow.
