Aspire Rwanda aims to provide sponsorship for boys and girls from poor families to access Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET)programs, enhancing their skills and employability. We target out-of-school youth or those at risk of dropping out, with a focus on disadvantaged communities in Rwanda.
In the areas that we serve we have met many young girls/boys-high school drop-outs unable to find employment and affected by extreme poverty. We would therefore like to expand our services to this group and continue a program that will help young girls/boys improve their livelihood through vocational skills training.
Youth Empowerment program (YEP) will connect vulnerable youth with Vocational Education training (TVET). Through this program, Aspire Rwanda will identify and sponsor vulnerable young girls/boys who would like to pursue TVET program that can be completed within one year. Selected youth affected by poverty and unemployment will be interviewed, supported by Aspire Rwanda. The program is designed to build confidence and plant seeds for future educational growth and development of livelihood.
Aspire Rwanda is dedicated to find ways to make the program sustainable over the long term. This project will reduce the number of youth dropping out of school. 100 girls/boys will be protected and trained to allow them to get jobs, lift out of poverty which will provide their own well being and of their families. To implement this sustainable program, Aspire Rwanda is looking for individuals or organizations passionate about helping young people, specifically in gaining the necessary skills
