A check in with our beneficiaries!

By Rahina Opotu | Grants & Partnerships Officer

ACE Charity's, Women MicroCredit Programme (WMP) has been empowering rural women entrepreneurs by giving them access to interest-free small-scale loans and financial literacy and business management skills training since 2021. The WMP is executed in phases with our rural women beneficiaries receiving interest-free small-scale loans ranging from $25 to $70 which they pay back over a period of six (6) months. Women who successfully complete three (3) loan repayment cycles are further empowered by receiving micro business grants ranging from $20 to $40.

To monitor the impact of the program in the lives of our beneficiaries and receive feedback from our beneficiaries in between our implementation phases, we visit and engage our beneficiaries. The Founder/CEO of ACE Charity, Kiki James, recently met with our beneficiaries ahead of our next implementation phase where a new community, Jahi community is being added to our existing community, Kuchingoro community and 300 rural women entrepreneurs will be receiving interest-free loans, an increase from our initial 151 women beneficiaries.

Kiki reminded our beneficiaries that by being diligent in their loan repayment, they would create more opportunities for other rural women entrepreneurs to be empowered. You can check out our Instagram post to catch a glimpse of the discussion.

Kindly keep supporting our work by donating and sharing why you choose to support us with your community of family and friends.

Thank you!
