Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your kind help to our project giving education to 400 youth. We are focusing our efforts to the provision of support for small, marginal farmers or those with no land to till or owning less than a hectare of land. These sector is very vulnerable to economic failure and the need to assist them is foremost. This reporting period our effort is directed to the provision of practical farming training to progressive youths and using high-valued crops like cacao and jackfruit. Training include fertilizer management, pruning, weeding and pest control using organic concoctions. We were able to train 12 young farmers in this manner. Hoping for your continuing support. Thank you very much.
Very sincerely yours,

youth-focused education support
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our project providing education to 400 disadvantaged youth. The social and economic difficulties caused by the coronavirus pandemic is slowly easing up as vaccination roll-out is on-going in earnest. More and more people want to be vaccinated and this is a good sign that eventually we will be able to control this virus. Another problem besetting the youth is severe changes in climate affecting small-scale agriculture. This is indeed very problematic and we are trying our very best in order to promote climate mitigation measures that are small-scale, doable and effective. This reporting period we are able to provide educational support to 120 youth thanks also to our local supporters who helped us. Hoping for your continuing generosity. Thank you very much.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora

Providing small livelihoods

supporting livelihoods
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative empowering disadvantaged youth. The situation with the youth coming from poor families is alarming in that education is low and vagrancy is common place. The coronavirus pandemic and climate change issues has degraded opportunities and chances of success in life is becoming slim. There is a need to continuouly provide support and encouragement for the youth lest they also become negative contributors to their communities. The future depends on them and during this project period, we focus our attention to providing small livelihoods like the raising of small animals like goats and pigs and backyard vegetable gardening so that they are able to feed themselves without support from outside helpers. We think that in giving them food and other material goods they become dependent and less creative. This reporting period we are able to support the livelihood of 75 families.
Hoping for your continuing support.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora
