Generally speaking, the public, including officials from government, views the disable people from the perspective of sympathy. The disable people suffers from social bias and self-inferiority, become the back-sitter in the stage of social life. Thus the vicious spiral formed: the more the disable people are exclusive, the more their needs and voice are ignored.
By providing the DPO with financial support, we not only help the members of DPO set up a drum team, but encourage them to go public. The success of the drum team has created spreading impact. Other members who are not members of the drum team are encouraged by that, they began to tap their art talent. Some chose to practice the music instrument, some organized a dance team. Their passion of of new life has been ignited and the joy of life sharked in their eyes.
During the spring outing, they organized a special art performance. Different art team presented their shows in turn. Members of the DPO enjoy their performance as well as the beautiful spring scene in the sun. Their confidence and their effort of pursuing better life has been displayed vividly. We could tell from their mien that they had conquered the social bias and self-inferiority and embraced their life with hope
