PROJECT SUMMARY: PLEASE BECOME A FUNDER!
Sisterhood Agenda’s Sisterhood Empowerment Project is the only project of its kind: it is a large-scale, holistic, female-centered approach to empowering girls, young women, parents, and educators using proven programmatic strategies combined with cultural relevance and positive, alternative media, all implemented at the grassroots, community level. There are over 3,000 partner agencies that Sisterhood Agenda works with and the girls need our assistance.
NEW ACTIVITIES
The Sisterhood Agenda Global Training Academy held the following webinars: 1) Sisters: Healthy & Empowered, 2) Black is Beautiful, and 3) Modern Goddess.
Sponsored by the VI Department of Human Services, Sisterhood Agenda plans to train 10 Virgin Island-based nonprofits for A Journey Toward Womanhood implementation in May 2011. Sisterhood Agenda celebrated National Women’s Health Week May 9-May 13, 2011 with Sisters: Healthy & Empowered (SHE) in St. John.

Sisterhood Agenda is recruiting members for its Global Sisterhood Conference Planning Committee. Regular webinar meetings are held for this committee. Sisterhood Agenda is also recruiting volunteers to work with its Global Partners in the Virgin Islands.
