Sisterhood Agenda served more girls in 2010 than at any other time in the organization’s 17-year history! Propelled by the launch of Sisterhood Agenda’s Global Training Academy, Sisterhood Agenda added 20 new Global Partners including several in the U.S. Virgin Islands where the Global Training Academy is located. Sisterhood Agenda also provided technical assistance and support services for over 1,200 girls, parents, and social service providers. Global Training activities for the last part of 2010 included:

Sisterhood Agenda will hold its first accelerated A Journey Toward Womanhood program for girls during its Global Training Academy Summer Series July 2011. Teachers, mentors, and administrators can receive A Journey Toward Womanhood certification during Sisterhood Agenda’s first global sisterhood conference in November 2011.
In addition, Sisterhood Agenda is seeking funding for its innovative Positive Media campaign to teach girls how to use technology and media to create sustainable positive social change. Offering eBooks, creating a new website, opening a production studio in the U.S. Virgin Islands to produce new content, and revamping Sisterhood Agenda Magazine are some of the components of Positive Media.
