For children who have lost one or both parents due to the war, education often becomes much more than schoolwork — it provides stability, confidence, and hope for what lies ahead.
Dmytro is 16 years old. His father served in the military and was killed during the war. Despite the devastating loss, his family remains focused on helping him continue his education and build opportunities for his future.
Through our English language support program, Dmytro has already achieved meaningful progress. His English grades improved from 6–7 to 9, strengthening his overall academic performance and helping improve his chances of entering his desired high school program.
But the impact goes beyond grades. Dmytro found a learning environment where he feels comfortable asking questions, actively participating, and growing more confident in his abilities. With online classes held twice a week in small groups, students receive personalized attention and opportunities to engage fully in the learning process.
For Dmytro and many children like him, educational support is not simply about learning a language — it is about creating opportunities and helping them believe in their future again.
Today, the Children of Heroes Foundation supports more than 16,200 children who have lost one or both parents due to the war. Every child’s journey is different, but they all need long-term and consistent support.
Your generosity makes stories like Dmytro’s possible. Thank you for helping children continue learning, growing, and moving toward a brighter future despite unimaginable challenges.
