Volunteer to 300 souls.

By Auma Sharon | Project contributer

Title: Volunteer To Three Hundred Souls
Theme: Hands Offered, Hearts Present, Futures Guarded Because You Choose To Serve at Gaba Hope for Kids

Volunteer to three hundred souls. Since 2021 we have walked beside children whose lives were written by crisis. We have learned this truth: a soul is not helped by plans alone. A soul is helped by presence, by a hand offered, by a heart that stays. Three hundred souls are waiting for someone to choose nearness over distance. When you volunteer, you do not just give time. You guard presence, restore dignity, build belonging, and hold choice open for children whose future depends on people who refuse to look away.

Why Three Hundred Souls Need Volunteers Now
Presence Is Slipping Through Absence: Hunger, poverty, and illness pull children away from class. Three hundred souls stand at the gate torn between survival and learning. Volunteer presence means a child is met at the gate and guided to a seat. Presence guarded means souls not lost to the street.
Dignity Is Tested By Shame And Silence: Many girls and boys carry questions about their bodies and worth that no one answers with respect. Three hundred souls learn to hide when shame becomes their teacher. Volunteer care means truth spoken gently so souls walk without hiding. Dignity restored means souls grow confident.
Belonging Is Threatened By Invisibility: Orphans, the displaced, and quiet children sit in full rooms and still feel unseen. Three hundred souls believe they do not matter because no name is called. Volunteer attention means every soul is known and every seat is saved. Belonging built means souls learn they are valued.
Choice Is Pressured By Crisis: Early marriage, labor, and fear tell families to trade books for survival. Three hundred souls hear adults deciding their future before they can speak. Volunteer steadiness means families are supported to choose education. Choice held means souls write their own tomorrow.

How Your Volunteering Guards Three Hundred Souls
You Volunteer Presence At The Gate: Arrive early, welcome children, walk with them past the barriers that say stay home. Gate presence means a soul that almost disappeared arrives and stays.
You Volunteer Dignity In Every Lesson: Teach health, hygiene, reading, and respect with patience so no soul feels shamed by what they do not know. Dignity in lessons means souls learn without fear.
You Volunteer Belonging In Every Name: Learn names, remember stories, save seats, and include the quiet one who sits at the edge. Belonging in names means a soul that felt invisible becomes seen.
You Volunteer Choice Through Steadiness: Stand with guardians when pressure rises so education remains the path even when crisis demands surrender. Steadiness volunteered means a soul’s future is not decided by fear.

What Children, Mentors, And Guardians Say When Volunteers Serve
“Someone Waited For Me At The Gate”: Children say volunteer presence was the reason they did not turn back. Waited at the gate means a soul kept.
“My Students Trust Because Someone Stayed”: Mentors say volunteers bring time and nearness that make trust grow. Students trusting means souls healed.
“Our Home Felt Supported, Not Judged”: Guardians say volunteers who serve with respect make families strong enough to choose books. Home supported means souls protected together.
“One Volunteer Became A Shelter For Many”: A volunteer who served one soul found that soul growing to protect siblings and friends. One soul served means many souls guarded later.

This Is Urgent Because Souls Cannot Wait
Three hundred souls are forming now. Their minds, hearts, and character are shaped by what happens today. Volunteer now means we reach souls while hope still burns. Volunteer now means we do not let absence, shame, invisibility, or pressure write their story.

Closing Invitation
Volunteer to three hundred souls. Because you support presence, offer your time so children arrive and stay. Because you protect dignity, offer your patience so every soul learns with respect. Because you build belonging, offer your attention so no soul is invisible. Because you hold choice open, offer your steadiness so families choose education under pressure.

Thank you for offering your hands and heart. Thank you for being the breath, the book, the seat, the name called that says: I see you, your soul matters, your future will be guarded.

Every soul served becomes a life guarded. Every life guarded becomes a future protected. Every future protected becomes proof that when volunteers choose nearness, souls are saved from crisis.

From three hundred souls whose lives are waiting for your yes — please volunteer. Stand with us so their souls become futures built.
