Report: An Honest Update And Heartfelt Request For Continued Partnership
Theme: The Work Continues, And Children Still Need Us at Gaba Hope for Kids

An honest update and heartfelt request for continued partnership. Since 2021 we have supported over 860 children, and we owe you the truth. The truth is: barriers do not disappear. They move. The truth is: every child we keep is a victory, and every child at risk is a reason we cannot stop.

Honest Update: Where We Stand
1. What Is Working: Classrooms stay open when shelter holds. Girls stay all month when dignity is protected. Children return when mentors call their name and classmates save a seat. Teachers tell us, “I stopped counting who was missing and started teaching who was present.” That change is real because partners stayed.
2. What Still Breaks Children: Roofs still leak before we reach them. Girls still miss days without menstrual support. Children from the street still arrive with nothing. Pressure for early marriage still meets girls who fall behind. Poverty still makes families choose between food and fees. Barriers adapt, and so must we.
3. What We Learn From Children And Teachers: We learn early. Teachers notice absence before it becomes dropout. Children tell us what actually helps: a pen, a kit, a dry seat, someone who believes. We stopped guessing. We now respond to what removes children, not what sounds good.
4. What The Numbers Do Not Show: Numbers say “860 supported.” Children say “I believed again.” Girls say “I stayed all month for the first time.” Guardians say “My child talks about the future at home.” Impact is measured in futures, not figures.

Heartfelt Request For Continued Partnership
1. Stay With The Child Term After Term: One term keeps a child safe. Many terms keep a future open. We are asking you to walk the long walk with us. Presence beats pressure when we do not disappear.
2. Help Us Act Before Absence: The cheapest time to keep a child is before they miss their first week. Your partnership lets us assess early, repair fast, and meet needs while hope is still visible.
3. Protect Dignity For Every Girl: Menstrual health is still the difference between staying and leaving for too many girls. Continued partnership means no girl chooses between her body and her education.
4. Guard The Classroom Culture: When one child is kept, the whole class gets safer and kinder. Your partnership protects belonging for children from the street, orphans, and every learner who thinks school is not for them.

One teacher told us: “I knew support worked when I saw hope on their faces again. When a child who was silent answers, I remember why I teach.” That hope depends on partners who do not stop.

What Continued Partnership Protects
1. Presence: Children in seats, learning while the rain falls.
2. Dignity: Girls finishing the month in class with confidence.
3. Belonging: Rejected children welcomed by mentors and peers.
4. Choice: Girls delaying marriage because education gives them options.

Closing
This is the honest update: the need is still urgent, but the proof is still strong. Barriers are heavy, but your partnership makes them lighter. Children are still at risk, but your continued support keeps them in class.

This is the heartfelt request: do not let go now. Stay with us. Stay with them. Every term you continue is another term a child stays safe. Every barrier you help remove is another future that stays open.

Thank you for walking with us since 2021. Thank you for believing that every child deserves to learn without shame. Thank you for proving that generosity is measured in children kept, not gifts given.

The work continues. The children are still waiting. And with your continued partnership, more futures will stay open.

From every teacher who teaches who is present, and every child who dared to believe again — will you continue the walk with us?
