Report: The Wheel Which Drives Us
Theme: One Wheel, Many Children Kept Moving at Gaba Hope for Kids
The wheel which drives us. Since 2021 we have supported over 860 children, and we have learned what keeps this work moving when barriers get heavy. It is not one big push. It is one wheel, turning term after term, with many hands on it.
*The Wheel Which Drives Us Has Four Spokes*
1. *Early Action*: The wheel turns before absence starts. Teachers notice a child missing days, a roof leaking, a girl losing confidence. We act while hope is still visible. Early action is the first spoke that keeps the wheel from stopping.
2. *Dignity Protected*: The second spoke is dignity. Girls stay all month when menstrual health is protected. Orphans stay when shame is removed. A child stays when they feel they belong, not beg. Dignity keeps the wheel smooth.
3. *Belonging Created*: The third spoke is belonging. Mentors learn names. Classmates save seats. Children from the street are welcomed, not judged. When every child feels “this is my place,” the wheel gains speed.
4. *Partners Who Stay*: The fourth spoke is you. Partners who do not disappear when terms get hard. Partners who choose presence over pressure. Your continued support is the rim that holds every spoke together so the wheel can carry weight.
*What This Wheel Carries Every Term*
1. *Children In Seats*: While rain falls, while materials run low, while pressure grows, the wheel carries children to class and keeps them there. Presence beats pressure because the wheel does not stop.
2. *Girls With Confidence*: The wheel carries girls through the month with dignity. No choosing between body and education. No hiding in the back. Just learning, leading, and leading others.
3. *Orphans With Hope*: The wheel carries children without parents from silence to voice. From watching to writing. From “no one sees me” to “my name is on this book.”
4. *Teachers With Strength*: The wheel carries teachers from counting who is missing to teaching who is present. One teacher told us, “I knew support worked when I saw hope on their faces again.” That hope rides on this wheel.
*Why The Wheel Must Keep Turning*
1. *Barriers Do Not Rest*: Roofs still leak. Periods still bring shame. Poverty still forces hard choices. If the wheel stops, children fall off.
2. *Momentum Saves Futures*: A wheel in motion is harder to stop than a wheel that never started. Your support keeps momentum so dropout never gets a chance.
3. *Many Hands, One Turn*: Teachers notice early. Mentors call names. Children welcome peers. Partners provide. Every hand on the wheel makes the load lighter for the child in the center.
4. *Generosity Is The Axle*: The axle is not what we give. It is who we keep. The wheel turns because generosity holds it steady term after term.
*Closing*
The wheel which drives us is not made of metal. It is made of timely love, protected dignity, created belonging, and partners who stay.
Because you keep your hand on the wheel, children keep their seat in class. Because you help the wheel turn early, futures stay open late. Because you refuse to let go, children refuse to give up.
Thank you for being part of the wheel which drives us. Thank you for proving that small, steady turns move more children than one-time pushes ever could.
Every turn of the wheel is a child kept. Every term the wheel spins is a future that rolls forward instead of falling away.
From every child riding safely because the wheel did not stop, and every teacher pushing with us — thank you for keeping the wheel turning.
Will you keep your hand on the wheel with us this term?
