Theme: Gratitude That Keeps Children In School at Gaba Hope for Kids

To our cherished supporters. Since 2021 we have supported over 860 children, and every child still in class has your name written in their story. You did not just give support. You gave presence. You gave time before barriers became goodbye.

*What Your Support Has Done*
1. *You Kept Children Present*: While roofs leaked and materials ran low, you chose to act early. Because of you, teachers stopped counting who was missing and started teaching who was present. Presence beats pressure when partners stay.
2. *You Protected Dignity*: Girls finished the month in class because you protected their dignity. Orphans wrote their names bold because you removed shame. You proved that every child deserves respect, not judgment.
3. *You Created Belonging*: Mentors learned names. Classmates saved seats. Children from the street were welcomed. You turned “no one sees me” into “I belong here.” Belonging is why children return.
4. *You Made Futures Breathe Again*: We watched futures go quiet. Then we watched them come back to life because you refused to look away. A book. A dry seat. A name called. Small acts from you became oxygen for dreams.

*What Teachers And Children Say About You*
1. *“Hope Returned To Their Faces”*: One teacher told us, “I knew support worked when I saw hope on their faces again.” That hope has your fingerprints on it.
2. *“I Did Not Feel Like A Burden”*: An orphan said, “When I got my own book, I stopped begging to share.” You removed the weight of shame.
3. *“We Protect Each Other Now”*: After awareness and support, children tell us, “We know the facts, so we do not tease.” You taught them to protect, not push away.
4. *“I Talk About Tomorrow Again”*: Guardians report that children started planning, dreaming, promising to fill every page. You gave them a tomorrow worth planning for.

*Why You Are Cherished*
1. *You Stayed When It Got Heavy*: Barriers do not rest. You did not either. You chose presence over pressure term after term.
2. *You Measured Generosity In Children Kept*: You did not count what was given. You counted who stayed. That is the only measure that matters to us.
3. *You Proved Small Can Be Big*: A small act at the right time kept a child. A small act multiplied into stronger classrooms, safer girls, stronger orphans.
4. *You Believed Before Children Believed*: You believed a child could stay before the child believed it themselves. Your belief became their confidence.
