Report: Thank You For Keeping Our Girls In School And Clean
Theme: Dignity Keeps Girls Present, Presence Protects Their Future at Gaba Hope for Girls

Thank you for keeping our girls in school and clean. Since 2021 we have supported over 860 children, and we have seen what happens when dignity stays. When a girl can be clean and confident all month, shame loses its power. School becomes safe again. Her future stays open.

Why Clean And Present Matters
Barriers Grow In Silence: When materials are missing and dignity feels far, girls miss days. One missed day becomes one missed week. Absence becomes “school is not for me.” Clean and present changes that story.
Shame Pushes Girls Out: Menstrual challenges make classrooms feel unsafe. Feeling invisible makes learning hard. When a girl feels clean and respected, she raises her hand again. She leads groups. She believes her story continues.
Pressure Fills The Space Dignity Leaves: Without support, marriage is offered as the “solution” to absence. Dignity removes that space. A clean and present girl chooses her book over pressure because her body is not a problem.

How Your Support Keeps Girls In School And Clean
Dignity Through Menstrual Health: Your support helps girls stay all month with confidence. Clean means safe. Clean means she can focus on learning instead of hiding. Dignity proves school is still her place.
Confidence Through Presence: A dry seat. A teacher who says “I teach who is present.” Books in every hand. When a girl is present every day, confidence grows. Confidence pushes back pressure at home.
Voice Through Belonging: Mentors learn her name. Classmates save her seat. She is not invisible. A girl who feels clean and belonging finds the voice to say “I want to finish first.”
Hope Through Early Action: We act before absence becomes dropout. We act before pressure becomes marriage. Your support keeps the door open term after term so a girl can decide her own tomorrow while she is clean and present.

What Teachers And Girls Say
“She Chose Her Book Over Pressure”: Teachers report girls who once considered leaving now say “I will fill every page first.” Clean and present gave them a reason to stay.
“Hope Came Back To Her Face”: One teacher said “I knew support worked when I saw hope on their faces again.” A girl who is clean and present carries hope where shame once lived.
“My Body Is Not A Problem”: Girls tell us menstrual support and respect changed how they see themselves. Clean and present means school is still her place.
“My Future Is Mine”: With dignity, girls start talking about tomorrow again. They plan. They dream. They choose education because you kept them in school and clean.

Why Your Support Matters Now
Dignity Does Not Restore Itself: A girl cannot stay clean and present while barriers choke her. She needs partners who act early and protect her dignity.
Clean And Present Multiplies: When one girl stays with dignity, classmates feel safer. More girls lead. The whole classroom culture shifts toward choice, not shame.
Generosity Is Measured In Girls Who Stay: We do not count what was given. We count girls who stayed in school because they were clean and present, not because they had no option. Your support protects that choice.

Closing
Thank you for keeping our girls in school and clean. Because you protect dignity, a girl chooses confidence over shame. Because you keep her present, she chooses her book over pressure. Because you act early, she chooses her own future over someone else’s timeline.

Thank you for believing every girl deserves to be clean, confident, and in class. Thank you for proving that dignity and presence are stronger than barriers.

Every day a girl is clean and present is a choice protected. Every girl you keep is a future that belongs to her.

From every girl who said “not yet” to marriage because you kept her in school and clean — thank you for empowering her to choose.

Will you stand with us to keep our girls in school and clean this term so every daughter can choose education?
