Report: Gaba Hope For Kids Through Your Continued Support Is Striving To End Early Marriages
Theme: Childhood Protected, Futures Chosen, Girls Allowed To Grow at Gaba Hope for Kids

Gaba Hope for Kids through your continued support is striving to end early marriages. Since 2021 we have walked beside over 860 children, and we have seen how early marriage quietly steals a childhood. One signature on a form, one ceremony, one closed door — and a girl’s school seat becomes empty. But when we strive together, childhood stays protected. Striving means we stand in the gap before pressure wins. Ending early marriage means girls keep their books, their voice, and their tomorrow.

How Striving To End Early Marriages Protects Girls
Striving Protects Presence: Early marriage pulls girls from class when storms come and pressure rises. Striving to end early marriage keeps girls present from first lesson to last. Protected presence means absence loses another girl to silence.
Striving Protects Dignity: Early marriage forces girls to become wives before their bodies and minds are ready, bringing shame and health risks. Striving protects dignity so girls walk in confident all month with care and privacy. Protected dignity means childhood is not traded for shame.
Striving Protects Belonging: Early marriage isolates girls from friends, teachers, and community. Striving builds belonging so girls are seen, named, and held by mentors who notice. Protected belonging means no girl is married away invisibly.
Striving Protects Choice: Early marriage is pressure disguised as tradition. Striving opens choice so girls can say education first, childhood first, future first. Protected choice means a girl decides her life, not fear.

How We Strive Through Continued Support To End Early Marriages
We Educate Before Pressure Arrives: We counsel girls on safe precautions and their rights while they are still present and hopeful. Educated before pressure means girls know they can say no.
We Keep Girls In School With Practical Support: We remove hunger and keep classrooms safe so school is better than any early offer. Supported in school means marriage loses its excuse.
We Include Families In The Struggle: We invite guardians to see that educated daughters lift the whole homestead. Families included means tradition changes through love, not force.
We Create Safe Spaces For Girls To Speak: Girls ask hard questions about marriage, bodies, and future without judgment. Safe space means no girl walks to marriage with confusion or fear.
We Hold The Door Open With Mentors: Teachers and community mentors notice when pressure rises and call the girl by name. Mentors watching means early marriage is met with resistance.

What Teachers, Girls, And Guardians Say As We Strive
“She Chose School Instead”: Teachers say striving with continued support helps girls refuse early marriage and stay. Chose school means childhood protected.
“I Want To Grow First”: Girls say counselling taught them their childhood matters and their future is worth waiting for. Grow first means marriage can wait.
“Our Daughter Is Not For Sale Yet”: Guardians say continued support helped them see education brings more than an early ceremony. Daughter not for sale means the homestead thinks differently.
“One Girl Who Stayed Protects Many”: Girls who refuse early marriage now speak to friends and sisters. One girl who stayed means many girls protected.

Why Striving To End Early Marriages Matters Now
Marriage Closes Doors Forever: A girl married early rarely returns to class. We strive while girls are still children. Strive in time means childhood is not lost.
Striving Multiplies Protection: When one girl stays in school instead of marrying, her younger sisters see a new path. Multiplied striving means more girls choose childhood.
Generosity Is Measured In Childhoods Saved: We do not count what was given. We count girls whose childhoods you helped protect because you continued to support us. Your support is the wall that stops early marriage.

Closing
Gaba Hope for Kids through your continued support is striving to end early marriages. Because you support presence, we keep girls in class when pressure rises. Because you protect dignity, we teach girls their bodies and childhood matter. Because you build belonging, we surround girls with mentors who notice and name. Because you hold choice open, we give girls tools to choose education over early marriage.

Thank you for refusing to let childhood be sold. Thank you for being the breath, the book, the seat, the name called that says: you are a child, you deserve to grow, you deserve to choose.

Every girl who stays a child because you supported this striving becomes a future woman who leads. Every childhood protected becomes proof that early marriage can end.

From every girl whose childhood you are protecting right now — thank you for striving with us until no girl is married away from her future.

Will you continue with us this term to keep striving to end early marriages so more girls keep their childhood and more futures remain theirs to choose .
