Program Title: Guiding Children Toward Positive Choices

 INTRODUCTION
Children face many pressures that can influence the choices they make. Through Guiding Children Toward Positive Choices, GABA HOPE FOR KIDS is working to equip children with knowledge, life skills, and support systems that help them make healthy and responsible decisions for their future.

GOAL AND OBJECTIVES
Goal: To empower children to make positive choices that protect their health, education, and wellbeing.

Objectives:
Provide life skills training on decision making, self-esteem, and peer pressure
Promote school attendance and learning through mentorship
Support children with basic needs to reduce vulnerability
Engage parents, teachers, and community leaders in child protection

 ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED
Life skills sessions on communication, goal setting, and resisting negative influence
Mentorship and group discussions with children in schools and communities
Distribution of school materials and hygiene items
Parent and community meetings on child protection and positive parenting
Recreational activities to build teamwork and confidence

 OBSERVATIONS AND IMPACT
Children are more confident to speak up and make informed decisions
Improved school attendance and participation
Children report having trusted adults they can talk to
Parents are more involved in guiding and supporting their children
Reduced cases of risky behavior reported in target communities

CHALLENGES
Limited resources to reach more children
Some parents need more training on positive parenting
Transport for community outreach in rural areas

 RECOMMENDATIONS
Expand life skills training to more schools
Train more community mentors and peer leaders
Strengthen partnerships with schools and local leaders for long term support

By guiding children today, we are building a generation that makes wise choices, stays in school, and lives with dignity. With continued support, every child can grow with hope and purpose.
