GABA HOPE FOR KIDS
Empowering Vulnerable Children and Mothers in Wakiso District, Uganda

IMPACT REPORT
Theme: Building Stronger Foundations for Children's Futures

1. INTRODUCTION
GABA HOPE FOR KIDS is located in Kisigula Village, Wakiso District. Our mission is to ensure vulnerable children stay in school and to empower their mothers and guardians with sustainable livelihoods.

Every child deserves a strong foundation of education, health, dignity and family support to build their future. This report shares how we are working with our community to build those foundations.

2. OUR BELIEF
We believe that when we invest in a child's education today, provide dignity to girls, and empower mothers with skills, we build a stronger foundation for that child's future tomorrow.

3. ACTIVITIES IMPLEMENTED

A. Education Foundation
- Provided scholastic materials including books, pens, pencils and school bags.
- Supported vulnerable children to return to school and stay in class.
- Conducted school and home visits to encourage regular attendance and learning.

B. Dignity and Health Foundation
- Conducted menstrual health education to replace shame with knowledge and dignity.
- Distributed reusable sanitary pads and hygiene kits to keep girls learning without interruption.
- Trained girls and mothers in making and caring for reusable pads.

C. Family Resilience Foundation
- Trained mothers in income-generating skills including liquid soap making, tailoring and backyard farming.
- Provided seeds, start-up kits and mentorship to help mothers start small businesses and gardens.
- Held sessions on savings, business planning and positive parenting.

4. IMPACT STORY - MEET FAITH
Faith is a young girl in primary school who lives with her grandmother. She had missed school because of lack of books and sanitary pads, and her grandmother struggled to provide for the family.

Through our supporters, Faith received books, uniform and reusable pads, while her grandmother received farming training and seeds. Today, Faith is in school every day, confident and dreaming of becoming a teacher. Her family has food and hope.

Faith says: Thank you for helping me to go back to school. I want to become a teacher.

Faith shows what happens when we build stronger foundations.

5. CHALLENGES
- Many more children and mothers need support than our current resources can reach.
- Rising costs of school materials and farming inputs.
- Need for more learning space for trainings and community sessions.
- Continued need to break stigma around menstrual health.

6. PLAN FOR NEXT
- Provide more scholastic materials and dignity kits for the next school term.
- Train more mothers in farming and income-generating skills.
- Expand menstrual health education to more schools.
- Strengthen family follow up to ensure children stay in school.

7. APPRECIATION
We sincerely thank all our donors on GlobalGiving, friends, volunteers and local leaders in Kisigula who walk with us. Your support is building stronger foundations for children's futures, one child and one family at a time.

8. CONCLUSION
A book is a foundation. A pad that keeps a girl in class is a foundation. A mother's garden that feeds her family is a foundation. Together, we are building stronger foundations for children's futures and a more hopeful community.
