GABA HOPE FOR KIDS
Empowering Vulnerable Children and Mothers in Wakiso District, Uganda

IMPACT REPORT
Theme: Meet The Faces You're Supporting

1. INTRODUCTION
GABA HOPE FOR KIDS is located in Kisigula Village, Wakiso District. Our mission is to ensure vulnerable children stay in school and to empower their mothers and guardians with sustainable livelihoods.

Behind every donation, every shared story and every prayer are real faces full of hope and determination. This report invites you to meet the faces you are supporting.

2. THE FACES YOU'RE SUPPORTING

A. The Children Who Want to Learn
They are boys and girls in primary school who walk long distances to class. Many live with grandmothers or single mothers. They lack books, pens, bags and uniform but they carry big dreams of becoming teachers, nurses, doctors and farmers. Your support keeps them in school.

B. The Girls Protecting Their Dignity
They are teenage girls who once missed school every month due to lack of sanitary pads and menstrual health information. Today, through reusable pads and education, they are confident, in class every day and helping other girls replace shame with dignity.

C. The Mothers Building Resilience
They are mothers and grandmothers learning farming, liquid soap making and tailoring. They rise early to work in small gardens, attend trainings and start small businesses. Their hands are mending clothes, growing food and building a stronger foundation for their children.

3. WHAT YOUR SUPPORT HAS DONE

- Provided scholastic materials including books, pens, bags and uniforms to vulnerable children.
- Provided menstrual health education and reusable sanitary pads to keep girls learning without interruption.
- Trained mothers in climate smart farming, kitchen gardening and provided seeds.
- Trained mothers in tailoring and liquid soap making with start-up kits for income.
- Conducted home and school visits to protect learning time and encourage families.

4. IMPACT STORIES - MEET THE FACES

Meet Faith, 12 years
Faith lives with her grandmother and loves school. She had dropped out because she lacked books and pads. With your support, she received scholastic materials and reusable pads. She is now back in class every day.

Faith says: Thank you for helping me to go back to school. I want to become a teacher.

Meet Namata, Mother of Three
Namata struggled to feed her children and pay for school needs. She joined our farming and tailoring training and received seeds and a start-up kit. Now she grows vegetables and mends clothes for income.

Namata says: Now I can feed my children and keep them in school. Thank you.

Meet Grace, Senior Woman Leader
Grace is a grandmother caring for orphaned grandchildren. She leads a mother group and encourages other grandmothers to learn and share. Your support gives her strength and skills to care.

These are the faces you are supporting, each one full of hope.

5. CHALLENGES
- Many more faces still wait for support to stay in school and learn with dignity.
- Rising costs of school materials, pad materials and farm inputs.
- Need for more training space and mentorship for children and mothers.

6. PLAN FOR NEXT
- Provide more scholastic materials and dignity kits for the next school term.
- Train more mothers and girls in practical skills for income and food security.
- Expand menstrual health education to more schools and communities.
- Keep visiting homes and schools to protect learning time.

7. APPRECIATION
We sincerely thank all our donors on GlobalGiving, friends, volunteers and local leaders in Kisigula who have made these faces smile again. You are replacing hopelessness with hope and shame with dignity.

8. CONCLUSION
When you support a child, you support a dream. When you support a mother, you support a family. Thank you for choosing to see the faces and to keep their hope alive.
