Dear Supporters and Community Partners,
Sustainability is at the heart of our mission. To ensure that our impact in Karangpatihan Village lasts for generations, we must build a strong, resilient foundation of local leadership. Today, we want to share a transparent update on our journey of organizational growth and the steps we are taking to nurture the next generation of change-makers.
Navigating Leadership Transitions
On Wednesday, August 16, our community group, KOPI Karangpatihan, held its monthly meeting. Like any growing grassroots organization, we are currently navigating a significant transition phase:
Evolving Leadership: With our current Chairperson tending to personal commitments and our Treasurer moving toward a new professional opportunity, we find ourselves at a crossroads.
Political Dynamics: The local village government is currently heavily engaged in political activities, which has temporarily shifted the landscape of immediate institutional support.
Turning Challenges into Opportunities
While our initial goal for the meeting was a formal restructuring, the absence of some board members led us to a deeper, more meaningful dialogue about the future of KOPI Karangpatihan.
Rather than rushing into appointments, we chose to focus on Capacity Building:
Identifying New Talent: We were heartened to see several prospective new members join the meeting. These young individuals represent the "Next Generation" of our movement.
Mentorship & Readiness: We recognize that leadership is a responsibility that requires preparation. We are now focusing on empowering these candidates, ensuring they feel confident and supported before taking on official roles.
Community Dialogue: The passing of responsibilities among attendees sparked a vital conversation about collective ownership—reminding us that the success of KOPI does not rest on one person, but on the strength of the group.
The Path Forward: Resilience Over Speed
We have decided to reschedule the formal restructuring for our next monthly meeting. This intentional delay allows us to:
Conduct one-on-one mentoring with potential leaders.
Strengthen the internal bond between new and old members.
Wait for a more conducive environment to ensure a smooth and stable transition.
Your Impact on Our Growth
Your support allows us the "breathing room" to handle these transitions with care. Organizational development is often less visible than planting trees or building schools, but it is the most critical investment for long-term success. By supporting us, you are helping Karangpatihan Village build a community institution that can survive and thrive through any change.
Thank you for believing in the power of local leadership and for staying with us as we grow stronger.
With gratitude,
INFEST Team
