The regular meeting of KOPI Pondok was held on 29 December. The meeting was attended by KOPI members and micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) actors from Mitra Keluarga Migran (MKM) Pondok. The main agenda of the meeting was to present the latest updates on the condition of KOPI and BUM-KOPI.
The Chairperson of KOPI Pondok, reported that KOPI Pondok's membership has recently grown, largely comprising new members, particularly women MSME actors who have joined Mitra Keluarga Migran (MKM), a business unit initiated by KOPI.
Regarding MKM’s business performance, progress remains limited. Although there has been discussion about relocating the laptop and printer to one of the managers' homes, printing services are currently available at any time via WhatsApp. The MKM shop, which serves as a product display and sales point, remains closed, with no daily buying or selling. A proposal to hire staff and open the shop daily has not yet been implemented, as management remains concerned about potential financial losses.
At present, MKM is actively promoting motor vehicle tax service assistance, as this service is considered a relatively stable source of income for the business unit.
Plans for the Coming Year
Looking ahead, KOPI plans to organize digital marketing training, including training on selling products through online marketplaces such as Shopee. The village government will fund this activity and has already been included in the Village Budget (APBDesa). It was conveyed by Nonik, the Chairperson of the Village Consultative Body (BPD) of Pondok Village.
“There is a budget allocated by the village government for training activities. Please prepare the plan and submit it to the village administration,” she stated.
Conclusion
Overall, KOPI's condition and business activities in Pondok Village remain sustainable, although further progress requires greater managerial courage, particularly from the BUM-KOPI management, to hire employees and operate the shop daily. Through these steps, it is expected that business activities will gain stronger momentum and continue to grow.
