Happy holidays!.
We'd like to welcome the many new donors who joined the BARKA family-- in just the last month, we received generous donations from 50 new people. However you found us, we're glad you did, and we hope you spread the word because there's something special happening here...
A quick update from last month's Giving Tuesday: it was the most successful one ever- raising over $5000 for MHM, clean water, and agroecology to help smallholder farmers deal with a changing climate in Burkina Faso. Barka!
Right now we're hard at work seeking to fund a project to be the first in Burkina's history to introduce and distribute menstrual cups. We recently submitted an application for a major grant. We'll find out of we get it in May. Fingers crossed!
BARKA is also developing the largest WASH (water, sanitation & hygiene) project we've ever considered- 24 wells in communities in the eastern region, one of the driest areas of the country. To support this project and learn more, visit its GlobalGiving project page.
As the year draws to a close, you may be asking how can you best support BARKA at this time?
If you want to continue the incredible impact BARKA has achieved on the ground, please consider becoming a recurring donor. We're searching for at least 8 recurring donors before the end of the year.
