Dear Patrons,
I wish to share with you the aim and goals of our project in the coming two years which is to be stable financially so that we may build our own factory (house) and starting to buy highly performing equipment. Our staff will be increased and more strength will be directed in continuous trainings for all staff. We have the plan of strengthening innovation, and those innovations will helps us to satisfy customer’s needs and increasing the sales. As our project will continue to grow, our employees will be promoted also.
In terms of money we have the plan of selling more than 250,000 pieces of clothes, and generate more than 25,000 USD of gross interest within two years.After that we will continue to attract more customers where we have the plan of getting, at least one wholesaler in Rwanda and one new representative in one African each month. This project will generate more income because we will make and sell quality clothes at affordable price and we want to start to sell our products to Rwandan market which is around 13 million of peoples (World Bank, 2019), and then after we will expand to region markets.
The functionality of this project will be based on the transformation of textiles into different style of clothing by assessing customer needs. Marketing, innovation and continuous capacity building and professionalism will help us to achieve our goals selling more clothes and textiles products to more peoples in short times.
As clothes have different style and types, we will start our project by making and selling most needed clothes and textile. The use Distributors and advertisements will help us to reach more customers and these strategies will help us to reach many customers and to get stability within a short time.
Pricing
Production cost will be based on: cost of raw materials, salaries of staffs, and other direct and indirect cost.
Profitability
Our project will generate incomes by selling our clothes directly to wholesalers this will increase affordability of our products.
Our profit margins will be between 20 and 50%. At the starting, we have the target of selling between 50000 pieces of clothes in 12 months and one clothe may generate the interest of 200frw (about 0.2 USD). Then 200,000 pieces of clothes each quarter after two years.
Target Audience/Customers
For the starting we will target Rwandan populations of 13 million, then as we grow we will target East African market. Then for each profit and stability we will increase the number of machines and staff.
Marketing & Sales- Your Marketing Plan
We plan to engage an experienced marketing agent who will help us to analyse customers’ needs and then help us to work with wholesalers’ (intermediate customers).
Wholesaler’s companies will help us to reach retailers then these last ones will distributes our clothes to the end customers. That action of looking for intermediate customers will be done parallel with radio and TV advertisements in order to help customers to know and to identify our products.
SWOT Analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, & Threats)
Strength and opportunities:
- Willing of making quality products at affordable price.
- Peace, free movements of peoples, Policies of promoting made in Rwanda, the ban of importation of used clothes and stability of local currency.
Threats and weakness:
- Low investment capital: funds, shareholders and bank credits are the solutions
- Lack of our own building: renting and then construction after
- Importation of raw materials: tenders wills help us to minimize the cost.
- COVID-19 pandemic: To follow prevention measures will be a solution
NEEDS
To be able to implement this project we need the support of 5000 USD. as investiment to start this project.
Building a Team
Our team is composed with competitive staffs and is directed by the project director Madam ISHIMWE MAHORO ARLETTE who is the CEO of Empower Rural Women In Rwanda-Tailoring project.
She has been involved in Rwandan Youth Development and Voluntary organization (RWAYDAVO), and has participated in designing and implementation of many different programs which include the following: Income Generation project, hygiene water and sanitation; drug policy and harm reduction; reproductive health; HIV and social welfare; and gender empowerment. In addition, she supported numerous campaigns, including Global hand washing day, Women’s day, Malaria day, world AIDS day and a peace education campaign in the Rulindo district. Beside that she has been trained in in project management.
The project also has the chief of finance who is also an experienced person with bachelor degree, we have a store keepers is trained in stock management and logistics.
